Grodno State Professional Technical College of Instrument Making was founded in 1978. The principal of the college at the present moment is Anatoly Ivanovich Nosko.

Presently about 123 well-qualified teachers and masters of industrial training work at college and about 502 students get their knowledge and skills concentrating their studies in technology here.

Young people are trained to get the following specialities:

1st level (getting working profession and general secondary education)

machining of metal with machine tools and conveyorising

technical using (operation) of the equipment

maintenance and repairing of TV and radio sets

usage of PC, postal service

2nd level (getting special education)

production equipment of engineering industry

Our college invites graduates to acquire the following qualifications:

*after graduating 9 classes of secondary school – 1st level, apprenticeship 2 years and 10 months – Machine Tool Operator, Machinist, TV and Radio Serviceman, Postal Service Operator

*on the base of secondary school education (11 classes) – 1st level, apprenticeship – 10 months, Machine Tool Operator, Machinist, TV and Radio Serviceman

After finishing the 1st level of education students have an opportunity to get special education in the same speciality, apprenticeship – 1 year and 10 months, qualification – technician-mechanic.

All training programs comply with state educational standards and carry national accreditation.

Graduates of all degrees get appropriate certificates.

Curriculum offers a distinctive approach to education by combining the academic studies with applied researches and design and experimental works, using a potential of appropriate base of the public joint-stock companies "Radiovolna”, "Garant”, "Belkard” set up for each department. Since 2007 the college has compacted with the Grodno branch of the unitary enterprise "Belpochta”.

The college cooperates with the institutions of higher learning in the process of continuous education such as Yanka Kupala Grodno State University, Belarusian National Technical University and the Higher College of the Communication.

Students have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge in all subjects to be prepared for entering the university and master their PC users’ skills demanding the fee-paying services of teachers and masters of industrial training.

The building of the college contains modernly equipped classrooms, workshops, laboratories, gyms, the canteen, the hostel, the library, the hall and the coffee bar. There are social and psychological services and medical service and also a tutorial centre.

There are 10 sport sections, musical studio, dance circle, vocal circle, drama circle, decorative-applied art circle, technical circle "Radio Technician” at the college to develop the creative and sport abilities of students.

Cultural and sports activities of students and stuff should be emphasized. The sports activities of the Sports Association are scoring brilliant success. Our students win a lot of prizes in volleyball, basketball, skiing, etc, competitions. We are the annual successful participants in the theatrical contest-show in our town.
